Are You Suffering From Daily Digestive Issues and Allergies?

Are you going into 2020 not feeling exactly how you think you should and you’ve tried different things and you still aren’t feeling as well as you should?

An Elimination Diet may help you discover what foods are causing you allergies and other digestive reactions.

It’s estimated that 15 million adults in the U.S. alone suffer from food allergies — about 4 percent of the adult population and about 8 percent of children. These numbers, however, don’t take into account food “intolerances” or food sensitivities that don’t show up on allergy tests. Because of this, the real numbers are likely much higher.

What is an Elimination Diet?

Certain foods may be causing allergies and other digestive reactions. This short-term eating plan eliminates those foods. After the elimination period has ended, foods are reintroduced one at a time. If symptoms start to reappear, these may be the foods that are not well tolerated.

Food sensitivities and allergies:

Many people suffer from what are commonly called “food sensitivities.” Food sensitivities are reactions to certain foods that you may be eating and it’s an immune response to those foods in the GI tract or throughout the body.

If you have been struggling with allergies and digestive issues, your body may be having an inflammatory response that can cause harm in multiple ways.

Food sensitivities and allergies are correlated with an increased chance for developing some of the below:

  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Eczema, hives and acne
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s and dementia
  • Learning disabilities like ADHD
  • Trouble sleeping or insomnia
  • Adrenal fatigue
  • Muscle and joint pain, such as from arthritis
  • Weight gain and obesity

6 Benefits of the Elimination Diet include:

  • Uncovering unknown allergies
  • Reduce IBS symptoms
  • Useful for leaky gut syndrome
  • Provide relief from skin irritations such as eczema and acne
  • Lessen learning disorders like ADHD and autism

Elimination Diet Recommendation:

It’s recommended by most integrative healthcare professionals that everyone do a form of an elimination diet at least once in their life. Many people don’t realize that they have issues until they experience what it feels like to not have them.

I’ve guided a number of my patients through the Elimination Diet. Because of this, I’ve created an Elimination Diet E-book that is available to anyone. Even if you are not close enough to come see me, you can learn what you need to do. Inside this ebook you’ll find foods to avoid, what foods you can include, restaurant recommendations, sample meals, snacks and more.

You can purchase the ebook on my website at Aura Integrative Medicine .
